Our Team

Rahul Raj

Born to a farming family in a small South Indian town, Rahul initially moved to the bustling city of Bangalore to become an engineer. A few years and several projects later, he realized his heart was elsewhere and decided to take a closer look at his roots and the farms surrounding his childhood home. Around the same time, he also became increasingly troubled by problems plaguing the food production sector – wastage, inconsistent prices and bad agricultural practices, to name a few. After many months spent educating himself on these matters, his desire to see the farmers that he grew up around fare better planted the seed of Sasya in his mind. In charge of its operations and corporate affairs, he views Sasya as an attempt to add value to society by letting farmers finally reap the true rewards of their hard work.

Yashwant GS

As a young boy, Yashwant’s education followed a model of experiential learning that put great emphasis on creativity and thinking outside the box. After years of experience in the IT sector, he began thinking back to the values taught to him as a schoolboy. Realizing his desire to use his knowledge of technology in a more fulfilling way, he found his way to Sasya. In charge of data analysis and the technological aspects of our operations, his mission is to provide a seamless digital experience for both the producer and the consumer, so that the farmer at the grassroots gains greater benefits from this endeavour. Through Sasya, Yashwant hopes to be more closely involved with the process of creating a cleaner, greener culture of food production and consumption.

Geetha S

A self-made veteran of the corporate world, Geetha has over 16 years of experience in logistics, purchases and setting up commercial projects for a number of Fortune 500 FMCG companies. As a child however, she spent most of her free time in the fields with the farmers of her village, and the desire to return to those sunny farms never really went away. Today, holding an MBA as well as a degree in supply chain management to boot, she is well-armed to take on any challenge that might come her way at Sasya, where she will be in charge of sales and marketing. Her wish is to bring the knowledge and experience in her possession into this role, not just to scratch her own itch for business, but also to give back to the farming communities that she herself grew up with.
